"Good evening," I said. I was greeted with a grunt. "I can tell you have lebenswelt." Betrayal ears perked when I said this. "It means life world or world of lived experience" I had learned a lot in my time in the military. Betrayal nodded pleasingly. "Do you know what lasciatee ogni speranza, voi chentrate?" "It means abandon all hope, ye who enter," I answered. "Gaudemus igitar." He smiled. "Yes let us be merry. Even though Christmas is still a couple of months away." I give a hearty chuckle. " You ready for tonight?" "As ready as I'll ever be," he said.
He walked to the bar as I went to see if Bird was ready. There was no answer at his door so I forced it open. I noticed that he was sleeping so I went outside and grabbed the first cloud I could find. I took the cloud into his house and caused a thunderclap. He awoke with a start, totally oblivious to the cloud in his kitchen, and ran into the club. I took the cloud outside and went back into the club. "Are you ready,"Bird asked, a little hyper which lead me to believe that he had a sugar high before he passed out.
"Yeah," I said. I was really confused by the question he asked but decided to go along with it. "I have two hours worth of songs ready to go." He nodded. "Very good. I'm going to get a drink. By the way, is the bartender he?" "Yeah," I answered. " He came in about ten minutes ago. Remember that you are up first." "Got it," he said as he trotted to the bar. I shook my head and finished putting the stage together.
When I had finished, Bird gave me the go ahead to open the doors. I opened the doors and started to walk away when I decided to watch the door. I counted around twenty-five ponies. There was one pony in general that caught my eye. She was blue with a black muzzle and yellow and blue mane and tail. She had green eyes and a smile that could easily decieve somepony. I slowly walked over to where she was, trying my best not to run into anypony. "Hello," I said with a bow. "Um, hello. Do I know you?," she asked. I felt a slight sting but got over it quickly. "Where are my manners? The name is Cloud Flash." "Lightning Chaser," she said, letting her mane fall where it may. "Do you work here?" "I'm the next DJ up and co-owner of the club," I said. I hate bragging about something.
"Do you want to get a drink?" she asked. I'm startled by this question but remember that she doesn't know me. "I don't like alcohol. I've seen the damage it does and I don't want to live that way. But I can offer you a non-alcoholic beverage." She smiled. "That would be lovely. It's not everyday you meet a stallion that doesn't like to drink a little." I could tell that she seen it as a weakness. "I try to be like my father," I said. If there are two things I hate it is alcohol and bragging. "Is your father still around?" She asked. I look down and feel a little bit of every emotion come on to me as the memories of him start to filters in.
